Right apologies, new to this site and I’ve just found the search facility. I’m going with Morris Lubrications Golden Film sae 50 and will change it at regular intervals.
I use Morris Oils SAE 40 for the engine, gearbox and primary drive..I change the engine oil to SAE 50 if we have a hot spell in the summer...I've done that for decades...I also change the engine oil at the BSA recommended interval of 2000 miles...
I find SAE 50 too heavy for the winter or if there is a cold spring or autumn...Ian
