Surely someone has a tape measure who can give me the dimensions of this strap so I can make it please???

There’s one somewhere in the shop where I will be tomorrow. If no one else has responded I’ll find the dimensions for you. It is a flat, straight piece, no bends, which also supports the lower chain guard or stay.

The M20 brake stay that I have is made of roughly 22 x 6 mm flat stock. The stay has two 3/8” mounting bolt holes bored through the stay centerline at each end at 375 mm, center to center. You should be able to approximate the overall stay length from that. Hope this is helpful.

The 3/16" BSC is a dead thread so I would use 10-32 or 2BA for the chain guard mounting screws.
