Hi All, hoping someone can help me out ,I’m refurbishing a set of girder forks and have disassembled the top yoke to clean and paint and noticed that the rubber washers that we’re inserted have gone hard and fell to pieces.Has anyone any ideas on who can supply replacements.Ive scoured the internet looking for replacements but have come up with nothing? I may have to modify some from somewhere else just don’t know were to start.
Thanks mark
Hi John ,thanks for the lead I’ve googled his name and found a Jeff hunter engineering? I’ll give him a call tomorrow and let you know how I get on.
Thanks again.
Mark
I use Jeff all the time for rubber parts, but I found that his rubber doughnuts for Triumph and Ariel handlebars were too soft and not up to clamping the handlebars. His email is jeffalanhunter@aol.com
I got some made by a firm in Southampton who specialize in Neoprene sheet of all thicknesses and they cut some out for me.
I'm fairly sure it was this firm https://www.portmererubber.co.uk/
Thanks Ron,
I’ve just sent them an email with sizes to see what sort of price and availability I’m looking at.
Thanks again for taking the time to help me out
Mark
