I have just finished my WM20 and it is ready for the road, however the Amal 276 leaks more gas than usual so I will have to replace or repair.
In the meantime I want to fit a Amal 626 carb I used one as replacement on a M20 about 20 years ago and it worked well but I cannot recall the jet settings I used. Can anyone help with jet sizes as I am keen to be on the road.
Thanks Mike.
Use the jet sizes quoted for an Amal monobloc equipped (post 54) M20...240 main jet, 106 needle jet, 30 pilot jet (if fitted to your concentric, not all have them.), slide cut away No.5, needle clip in the middle groove, set the air screw 1-1 1/2 turns out as a base setting...
That'll get it running but you may need to fine tune the air screw and needle clip settings once it's warmed up...Ian
