German soldiers Tobruk snap shot.

A German soldier has his photo taken with British steel helmet,in what looks like an area where they cannibalized motor-cycles and vehicles,on the right of the photo is the remains of an M2O,also a fuel tank and part of a gear box plus exhaust system can be seen, there is part of motor-cycle resting on its side on a truck steering column with its tool box part open (Triumph 3SW??),the other two upright machines could be captured Italian.

Nice pictures! The Italian machine is a Bianchi or Gilera, they had rear suspension.

Re: German soldiers Tobruk snap shot.

Hi Steve (and Lexy),
Great pics, thank you for sharing. I dont think the bike with the toolbox open is a 3sw, Triumphs had a wide central rib around the mudguards, that one is very narrow. Ariel WNG perhaps? I think they had a very similar secondary toolbox.
Cheers
Mark
