Picked this universal military saddle up at Trimpley vintage rally,in little used condition for £5O,cover is by Mansfield,paint on the saddle frame and springs is the original.

I'd say from the colour and the 'Mansfield' cover that this is post-war production. I saw one for sale with long studs that seemed to have been taken from a TRW...Did they use these too ?

Given a coat of matt paint and a Terry's badge, it would be fine for wartime.
