clutch lever boot

Can anyone advise if the wartime M20's were fitted with the rubber boot covering the clutch lever on gearbox. My gearbox cover has no groove where one would fit into. I have seen pictures some with and some without. I keep lubrication between the ball and rod and therefore collects grit and requires frequent cleaning. Secondly a search on Ebay reveals most if not all are made in India and wonder the quality of the rubber or maybe would be a 5 minute wonder and split.

Re: clutch lever boot

To my knowledge, only the early gearboxes with the groove for the boot had them. But if you want to fit one anyway? email Jeff Hunter on :-
