Bought this blackout cover without being sure if it correct for my 1942 Triumph 3HW LUCAS DU42 headlamp.

The Lucas Maxlite was a civy version of the WD BO mask. All the Maxlites I've seen so far have been the 8" version (DU142) with the slot in the bottom for the screw fixing. They might also have fitted car lamps? I used one on my RE WD/L and removed the oval badge and filled the recess to make a lookalike WD BO mask.
Notice there is no bump on the bottom for the DU42 clip. Ron

The illuminating disk is also set too high, and the mask bit has the pressings to weld it to the main body on the wrong (outside) side.

Same as the wrong masks from Metal magic.

Kosta's mask hasn't got the disc on it, I picked up one the same recently. You've got to be careful when buying them as some are over 8" and are too big for a DU142 headlight.

This one is 6,5" in diameter and I hope it fits on a DU42 headlamp shell!

Ah sorry Kostas I thought it was 8" from the picture. The repro 6.5" blackout masks you can buy are exactly the same as a genuine ones and usually available on eBay.
