Am I crazy to think that it is crazy money for a restored Welbike at $20000 USD buy now last week with $17500 buy now this week? I really would like to have one, but the household may not be a pleasant situation after shelling out that kind of funds!

That is too dear to my mind. Genuine welbikes don't come up for sale that often, but I've seen asking prices of £10K- £12K which is a lot cheaper than the $17+ this week price. I've no evidence of what has actually been achieved, price wise though?
But if a wealthy enough collector wants one, then he will pay over the top. I've seen 15 Grand Willys Jeeps sell for over 30 Grand for Christ sake......And you can buy one of those every day!
My advice would be to wait until the end and if it doesn't sell....go in at a reasonable offer......Or just buy it now and sleep in the spare room:confused: Ron
