Bassett House 1946.

This photo has probably been seen before,its on other web sites,but probably not known is where it was taken.

The backside of the photo shows a 2-44 stamp. Looks like a date????o🤔.

The CMP were only granted the "Royal" title in 1946 so I'm not sure what the "2-44" means?

Could be, or perhaps print no.2 of 44?

Its interesting that the bike appears to have stripped right down for a new coat of shiny paint which seems about right for a peace time military police vehicle but it hasn't been issued with a "14..." rebuild number, presumably because it wasn't 3 years old or high enough mileage at the time?
