BSA M20 Oil Tank, how does it mount?

I have an original M20 oil tank. It has three threaded holes on the rear. How does it mount to the frame?
Thanks in advance!

For starters you will need this plate. The dimensions are in technical top of page. The oil tank is spaced off the plate with three tube spacers.....I think the dimensions for the spacers are printed somewhere, but can't find them yet. Ron

Give Robb Nortier an email, he is on here. He has a page on the installtion of the rear mudguard, it shows how the oil tank plate goes, with the 3 spacers that Ron mentioned.

Oh wow!
So the oil tank doesn't attach to the frame? It attaches to the rear of the battery holder and then attaches to the front of the rear mudguard?

Looks like I am going to need the rear mudguard just to run the engine!

I make the plates up if you still need one, the spacers were 3/8” in length

No, the oil tank supports the mudguard not the other way round.
The battery pate already shown bolts onto the down tube and the oil tank bolts onto it
