I'm restoring a post war Lucas CZU27 ammeter and am hoping to find someone producing a decal for the face. The printing on mine wiped off when attempting to clean it. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

best bet is to go into one of those model aeroplane and tank type shops get a very fine brush with a couple of strands on and a small pot of white model paint and repaint the lettering,

Steve Madden wrote a section for the technical files and it has a clear scan of the face that can be printed.

Yes but Steve's face is for a CZ27 ammeter and Roy Van Dorp from this forum can sometimes perform overhauls/new faces/needles to those too. To my mind, repro postwar ammeters are so cheap you might as well buy one....And maybe snatch the face from it?.... Or touch it in as already suggested. Ron
