Doesn't suprise me at all.
Years ago in England a complete and original 500 v twin was sold for almost the same amount.
Indeed a great bike. And probably a good investment.
Prices seem to go up, climate change or not.

And that started a rush of BSA V twins hitting the market for silly prices
And because the prices were silly most got passed in or sold for 1/3 the asking price.

I was given a complete Y13 in the early seventies when they were considered pretty much valueless...

It was OK I suppose, but as a young tearaway I much preferred my vastly quicker Royal Enfield Constellation...So, the offer of a complete Connie engine and gearbox unit with primary drive and carbs as a straight swap for the Y13 was one I jumped at..:laughing:
