BSA M20s with unknown unit.

This large 12x8 inch photo has BSA M20s at the two sides, they are early models so maybe the photo was taken around 1939/40?,there is a unit insignia on the helmets on the ground which may give a clue to who they are?. A close up of the helmets, maybe some one will know who they are?

Lovely picture Steve.

The collar badges look like Hampshire Regiment, the devices on the helmets could show a tiger over a rose but its hard to say for sure?

It isn't on their hats.

Re: BSA M20s with unknown unit.

This is what I suspect, although the WW2 cap badge would have been bi metal.

Re: BSA M20s with unknown unit.

I showed these pics to a colleague in the pub yesterday, he served 15yrs with the Royal Hampshire regiment, he is 100% sure these are Hampshire regiment badges and prior to them becoming the Royal Hampshire Regiment, surprisingly there are two ex Hampshire soldiers who use the pub. kind regards
to clarify this we were speaking of the badges in the photo's not those above.
