Should there be any gaskets for the inner and outer gearbox covers? I have just stripped the gearbox on my project WD/CO and there weren't any is this correct. Cheers Barry

No gaskets on these, just sealant. If you buy a manual from Hitchcock's or Rob Van Meel. It will also explain about the lubricant (grease and oil) I use use semi fluid grease in my Enfields. Ron

There are a few pages on RE gearbox's in the WD motorcycle practical hints book, its from a 1940 article so it may be for the "C" gearbox, or are they the same?

Yes Rob. That is the WDC 4 speed lightweight box. I can post pictures of the CO heavyweight box, if R.V-M doesn't respond soon. There are good illustrated parts on Hitchcock's site. Ron
