Some time ago I bought a "digital laser tachometer". Just curious how much the rpm was at idle.
With a spot of white paint I aim the device at the ignition points
The device gives a reading of 600 rpm. Is that the correct or is it 300/1200 ?

The magneto turns at half engine speed on a four stroke therefore the rpm of your engine is 1200 rpm.
