Lifting & Loading a WM20

Hello All

Trust all is well, still here and still looking after Idris the 1942 WM20...So a loading question..I have a GMC CCKW lorry and soon it will have a Set7 lift rig in the back, whats the best way to lift the M20? Cargo net, strap and where is the best place to lift her. Does any one have any loading pictures or dock side pics please, Thanks

Not really very helpful I am afraid but still nice to see.

They probably weren't too fussed about how they loaded bikes back then but I don't think you would want to load your bike like that.

At least it shows where the COG is.

Re: Lifting & Loading a WM20

That may explain whey BSA pumps are so scarce.

It seems to me the only safe place to lift a bike from is under the wheels, but then you have to be careful that the suspension ropes don't do damage from the sides.

Re: Lifting & Loading a WM20

Thanks, not seen those before..
Certainly won't be loading her from a Dock over the sea, lifting about 5ft will prob be stressful enough the first couple of goes, but get great to take her with me in the back
