Would love to see this in combat, would make the enemy laugh so much they wouldn't be able to shoot straight.....

Re: BSA replica...can you tell them apart?...

Here's a half assed effort to pretend a modern Triumph looks like the old Triumph that was trying to look like a German bike in 'The Great Escape'...

One day these clowns might catch on that Field Grey is the colour for the 'German' bike as shown in the film...not a general purpose green like wot they paint army vehicles.... ....Ian

Re: BSA replica...can you tell them apart?...

They are all part of the new Hipster driven bobber/custom scene so are not bothered about correct military colour etc, if it brings new blood into motorcycling thats fine by me.

Re: BSA replica...can you tell them apart?...

Your probably right regarding the 'home built' bikes....The ones done by professional custom builders?....Surely a supposed 'tribute' bike should be the right colour?....Ian:relaxed:

Re: BSA replica...can you tell them apart?...

Well without trying to sound like a cranky old fart.
They are typical of the gen Y - Millenial groups.
I want one that looks like what I saw on farce book.
Further fuled by the music by non-musicans - sampleing.
Then to the rest of the brain dead, their creation IS the real thing.
It has nothing to do about making a tribute to anything but their own manifest greatness.
And because I have made it , it is better than to original & worth more than the original.
Because I am fabulous and the entire universe revolves round ME.

Now the real problem is they are like that because WE made them.

So the supposedly staid British motorcycle industry anticipated current fashion by 70 or so years.

Re: BSA replica...can you tell them apart?...

Ian, have you deliberately removed the earlier photos from Imgur or are they only (very) temporary ?

Re: BSA replica...can you tell them apart?...

Hi Rik...Ones I might want to use again or post again I tend to keep on there...More 'transient' photos of only passing interest I delete....Ian

Re: BSA replica...can you tell them apart?...

Hi Ian

I see the picture you posted first in this thread seems to have expired, is it possible that the image site "imgur.com" which you are using only links to the image on your computer, it doesn't store it itself, so when you delete the image on your computer its lost from where ever you posted it as well?
