Someone who has measure on the bracket for Lucas HF1440 horn on the early M20 or know how it should look?
someone who knows what's different on HF1440 vs HF1441?

The HF1440 has two prominent square brass terminals on the side (see one of mine). The HF1441 has two screws on the back. Look at 'Electrical' in the technical section on this site. Ron

The model and location of the horn changed
From the front to the left side under the saddle,
Depending of year and contract.

The most common, I believe was the Lucas Alette.

Looking at the photos I have, the latest WM20 that still has the horn under the saddle has tank number C4663538. The first one after that with the horn (HF1235) in front of the engine has tank number C4665118 which is WM20 61410.

So it looks like the change to Altette was during the end part of contract C11101 (10,000 bikes) probably in 1942. Ron

should fit to a M20 from 1938 and I now understand that it should be HF1440 thats right.
Have a H1441, is there anyone who has a H1440 for sale or a loose house then I may move over remnants from my HF1441
