Has anyone got the valve timing Information for a 1934 BSA Blue Star? No sensible markings on the cams :white_frowning_face:

Inlet opens 25deg bottom dead centre
Exhaust closes 25 deg bottom dead centre
Inlet tappet for timing valve .006
Exhaust tapper for timing valve.008
Set when engine is cold.003

There should be timing marks on cam pinions.

Sorry that should have read top dead centre, also exhaust should read 30 degrees.

Yes got it also thanks Darren. That explains it in full with diagrams. opening and closing times for both valves with before or after TDC or BDC etc. All I need now is a 1934 Blue Star:smiley: Ron
