M20 Timing side outrigger plate bush

I had to replace a timing plate bush today and I thought it was worth reposting this picture to show how I do them.
The bush is normally riveted to the timing plate. Apart from the problem of obtaining the correct rivets it can be awkward making a good job of the actual riveting...

My solution is to fit the replacement bush with the holes repositioned radially (to avoid the old holes) and then to drill and tap the plate with a 3mm thread...After countersinking the holes 3mm countersunk screws are screwed in, with a little Loctite 'threadlock' applied...The 'before and after' picture below illustrates the result...

As usual Ian, a very elegant and top quality solution.
