The "new" cylinder I bought a few months ago only need a new exhaust valve guide. (and of course honing to fit the .060" piston)
Since then there is a ticking sound from the exhaust valve 
The same sound one can hear when there is too much clearance.
I hope someone knows what it can be.

Hello Ron, the head gasket is not leaking if that is what you mean. There is a new one and I use copper spray for extra sealing. I hear the thicking is coming from behind the steel cover.

It is not the valve lifter, I removed it and it was still the same 
This afternoon I will have a look at te cam follower. The strange thing is, that the bike runs 56 mph. top speed.
