Girder Fork Spring

£66.160 for a girder fork spring, is that the going rate?

Re: Girder Fork Spring

It doesn't sound very cheap, but it depends on whether its New, NOS or used, and of course what bike its for?

Re: Girder Fork Spring

If it's an M20 Alberta Springs will make you a new one for about £35...They have the specifications on file...

As most M20s haven't had a new spring in living memory and they do 'settle' a lot after a long period of use it's something everyone should consider....The fact a spring still goes up and down doesn't say anything about its specifications or state of wear after all...Ian

I'm not sure about that Ian (I could be wrong) but every time he's made me a batch I've had to supply a sample. And I think a one off would be more than £35 Ron

Mine has cracked in half, so has to be done.

Re: Girder Fork Spring

I have sent an e Mail to Alberta Springs.

I have asked them for a "one off", but if they cannot do just the one, I have asked for a price for a batch.

I know Les has sold out as I phoned him yesterday.

Re: Girder Fork Spring

Alberta Springs can do a batch of 15 for £30.00 each excluding delivery.

I would be happy to fund the initial outlay and pass on their and my delivery costs.

Anyone interested?

Re: Girder Fork Spring

Make sure Graham at Alberta knows that the original spring length is 10".
