I have a steel 3HW primary chain case ( back part) with a hole at the right site.
the hole shows a former welding and it seems for the rear chain oiling .
I cannot find details how this looks like.
( I know from TRW that a screw with spring goes into the alu front case and the screw goes then into the alu backplate that holds a casted part at the back that drips oil on the rear chain. However this is not possible on the steel chain case.
I assume a piece of bended pipe and a socket with adjustment screw is part of the mechanism. Also how goes oil into the pipe at the inside (is the pipe or socket cut of with eg 45 degrees so that it catch oil or just straight cut?)
Re: 3HW primarychain case rear chain oil pipe outlet
Ruud the inner chain case has a small pipe which in turn has another smaller pipe (T piece) pointing at the chain. Then there is a special screw with a spring to adjust the oil flow. Ron post image
