Re: sandblasting

All you can really do is use the best highest VHT (Very high temperature) paint you can find but it will still gradually burn off on an M20. I just keep touching it up until the next time I need to take it off and an opportunity to do it again. I have heard good reports of the black paint that's used for BBQ's and pot belly stoves

Re: sandblasting

I sprayed my cilinder and head 9 years ago with ordinary heat resist paint.
Still holds reasonably well.
The trick is to keep the bike dry and away from rain, damp and so on.

In the UK ?
fat chance.
Pot belly black slapped on with zeal and a 10" broom as it would have been done during the war
