Hi,

I wouldn't bother.

If the compression is OK and it is not burning oil, then I would leave it alone.

If you hone the liners, then you will need new rings too.

Yes, agreed, shouldn't need it. However if you do want engineering work done in this area I can recommend T & L Engineering of Elstow near Bedford. There will probably be horror stories from someone (there usually is!) but they've always done good work for me over 20 years including boring, honing, metal spraying, grinding, big end replacement, balancing and aqua blasting.
