I'd have preferred it if the machine production tables had returned to the portrait format of the first edition. My thumbed copy of that is the one that I grab first as the later ones are so awkward to read and this time they've gone over to grey print, specially for ageing eyes !

I don't like the typeface of the third edition at all actually. Traditional subjects require serifs !

Clive, I think all new BFM books are pretty, they all have my name on page nine

I do agree with Rik it is a little awkward to read but I am happy to have it.

What additional content has been added to this new edition? There was quite a bit added in the second version, but I guess what I'm asking is: "What is the benefit of buying the new version if I already have the prior two editions?"

Bruce each edition is only published because of the extra information that has come to light. Seems to be a 11 year theme going on.
