Thought I found a nice rexine seat for my M20 today. It was at a reclamation yard. Although the frame is for a central support pole (it is off an old ride on garden roller) I only wanted the cover but on getting it home its about 15% too small for my seat frame on the bike...bugger! Question is...would this cover or frame even fit another bike? The guys at the yard said I could have the cover if I swapped it with the copy one I have on the bike, but now without a cover to swap, am a bit loathed to take it back to sit in the corver of a yard rottng away ! The rexine cover fits a frame 34cm wide and 31cm front to back.

Yes Ron. Very close to that, I think it has a slightly wider 'nose' to it. Very much like a motorcycle seat just that little bit smaller. What a pity.
Dilemma now is do I take it back? Pity to separate it from its seat frame but I know it will just rot away outside. They wanted £40 for the whole item.

40 quid not a bad price,with that tube fitting it will suit quite a lot of 20s/30s bikes.

where is the yard?

I have a NOS rexine cover will measure it if you want to arrange a swap?
