From a November 1939 issue of MOTOR-CYCLE,but photo could be earlier as no black out masks fitted?

Slightly earlier. It is from a series of photographs which shows the Territorial Queen Victoria's Rifles about to leave on their annual TA camp. It would date to August 1939.

They were a fully equipped Motor Battalion but in the event were sent to Calais, minus transport in May 1940 and captured with the rest of the garrison.

Presumably their early Big 4s went back to Chilwell for re-issue. There are very few images of these early outfits in the UK after May 1940.
