Just fitted two new rear wheel bearings; Timken 30204.
Is it normal for the half spindle lock nut not to fully clear the threads on the half spindle. It is as if the half spindle is slightly too short by two or three threads.
I have made sure that the two spacers are nice and flat and fully pushed in and that the two bearing races are fully engaged.
I have changed the wheel bearings before, but cannot remember it looking like that.
