A MINISTRY OF INFORMATION PHOTO,the ink stamp on the back of the photo is not very clear,also on the back in pencil is what looks like "Capt Fletcher" "LOWER SLOPES MOEL FAMMAU" which sounds Welsh to me,could be a training area. 
I'd say definitely a training area. I've used the chequered logo on one of my C10's.... D&M (INF) "Driver and maintenance, infantry" I think the Artillery training schools used a red and white square D&M (ART). Ron

I put this small album photo on the forum last year its only 2 1/4 x 3 1/4 inch,but this time have enlarged the photo to give a bit more detail,dont see many with girlfriends/wives names on the tanks,surprised he got away with doing it,although they put names on tanks,lorries,jeeps so perhaps it was ok to put names on motorcycles. 
Being an M20, "June" is probably the "Use By" date!
