Re: A 1954 WW2 M20 for just 7 Grand.

"Dry Stored" ?

Does that mean that you can have dry rust and wet rust, much the same as dry rot and wet rot ?

Re: A 1954 WW2 M20 for just 7 Grand.

I think this bike was featured in THE CLASSIC MOTORCYCLE many years ago, they did a series authentic and unrestored,it could have been in the early 1990s.

Re: A 1954 WW2 M20 for just 7 Grand.

"...IT IS A RUNNING BIKE THAT HAS BEEN IN DRY STORAGE WITH THE REST SINCE 1996 " ... so why does it have an August 2011 (08/11) tax disc on it then?

Re: A 1954 WW2 M20 for just 7 Grand.

Nice bike for a resto. project but not starting out at that price...

Could be orgasmic for a post war 'patina' freak though... ...To me it just looks like a rough old bike that needs the application of some TLC and lots of cash to make a reliable and desirable runner..Ian

I was born in '52. To the best of my knowledge the war was over by then.

Re: A 1954 WW2 M20 for just 7 Grand.

That is a very nice project, the oval BSA logo's on the tank looks original which makes me think it still has quite a lot original paint.

Looking at the position of the rearstand and the kickstartlever I think it needs quite some mechanical work but concerning the exterior I would probably only repaint the mudguards as it would be a shame to overspray the original paint. But it won't be mine at that price

Re: A 1954 WW2 M20 for just 7 Grand.

Looks to have been sold, anyone on here?

Re: A 1954 WW2 M20 for just 7 Grand.

Perhaps he took it off in shame.
Large packs for panniers, what a bargain

Maybe he visits here? I see the listing was changed from 1954 to 1940's. Ron
