Those are indeed the clutch end grips 91/011 for RE WD/D's and very early WD/C's. The ones with the internal pull twist grip which would have used grip 91/009. The same grips were used on the BSA C range and other pre war bikes. I bought mine from Jeff Hunter 'The Rubber Man' Ron
When I had grips made for the Norton by Jeff Hunter, he referred to them (the type without the oval 'Amal' panel) as 'Late Amal', and these as 'Early' but there was presumably a long changeover period during the late 1930s....That said, Norton didn't use Amal controls so perhaps their grips weren't Amal at all but Doherty as per the levers.
