Hello All:
FYI Three WWII motorcycles came up for bidding this week from the Hamilton Triumph Motorcycle Museum collection in Apache Junction, Arizona.

Well, that's my old 16H with the 1st Airborne Reconnaissance Squadron markings. It's a terrific runner. Always regretted selling that machine...the bike pulls like a tractor. Hope it goes to a very good home!
By the way, cheers to everyone on the forum, especially Ron, Horror, Colin Harmes, Sven and Henk! Haven't had much time for forum visiting since Normandy in 2014, life's just too damn busy. The Matchless G3WO is snug in the shed, still ticking over wonderfully, and I get it out on the road a couple times a month.
That's been a while! All the best for you as well!
Good to hear your G3WO is being used what it's made for....
Looking at the number of bids, these 'museum bikes' will go for gold prices. I just hope that they don't disappear in another museum but that they will be ridden.
A side effect of these sky high prices may be that other 'collectors' think that their bikes are worth the same stupid money which might result in other bargains appearing on E-pay soon.
Let's hope the reserve prices of the 3 bikes in the US will be lowered so they will be sold to enthusiasts who use them what they've been made for.....
