Interesting to see that picture again..(for me anyway)...It was taken on the road between Ouistram and Port en Bessin on my first trip to Normandy for the 55th Anniversary of D Day...
The chap with the Beret standing in front of the second truck landed just after D Day...He was in the Intelligence Corps...The other bike is a Royal Enfield WDCO ridden by Dick Eva who sadly, due to the advancing years, no longer rides but does his tours in an Austin Tilly instead...
Dick and I covered many miles together in the days when WD bikes didn't get together in any numbers....Ian..
Here's a picture of the same bike taken quite a bit earlier, a few years after I bought it..Taken just before one of the coldest rides I've ever had, 150 miles between Gloucestershire and Devon in January...It started snowing about half an hour after this picture was taken as I left my sisters house and continued like that all the way home...
That's my niece sitting on the bike..She has two kids herself now!...Ian
