Hello all.
Can anyone help me find a BSA B31 1946 clutch hub part no. 65-3930 ?
It seems they are rather hard to find, hope someone here can help.
Regards
Søren
Can you show the pic on here please Henk what the difference is. I know the hole size is different but Im interested to see the correct one? I have one but its been cut off I think. Its referred to as a sleeve by the way.
Here some photo's of the early version B31 clutch hub as used on the XB31. It's actually the same as used on the pre-war B29 and B30. The difference is not just that this one has inner thread to remove it from the shaft, the taper is in a very different location compared to the later version with outer thread.
This is a NOS hub without the pressed on oil ring, this ring is a separate part.
Thank you very much, hope you find it.
It's to be used on My friends XB31, he was given the bike when He was 14 by his uncle, he's now 50 and still not on the road
I have helped him the last few years and we are getting close..not all original as a great deal of parts were missing or in a very poor state.
Apology in order..I found the piece today but it turns out it is the one for later rigid/plunger and swinging arm bikes fitted with the 6 spring clutch...
So if anyone needs a NOS one of those, contact me off forum...Ian
