Arromanche event 2017

I received an invite to go to this event but don't think I will be making it to Normandy next June, but it may be that some of you fellas may be and might be willing to take part in this British vehicles event? Below is the wording

"we are looking for British vehicles and re enactors that are likely to be in Normandy on 6th June 2017.

We are looking to put a parade together to take place in Arromanches.

Please let any of your friends or fellow collectors know if you think they may be in Normandy next June.

We are looking for British manufactured or British marked vehicles please.

Registration is with us via info@ltf-hq.com "

This comes from Liberation Task Force, which have staged previous events so have a bit of a positive track record. Over to you.

Re: Arromanche event 2017

Is anyone going next year for a little ride out? I may go and if so rather be riding through Normandy like we've done in the past than be stuck in one place all day.. ]

Re: Arromanche event 2017

I assume that you chaps sho are headed to France have noted that it is now compulsory to wear CE-marked gloves ?

http://www.ministryofbikes.co.uk/blog/france-rule-motorcycle-gloves-compulsory

The old DR gauntlets /MT gloves aren't going to cut it anymore.

I don't think that even my 'modern' gloves have a CE mark.

At least foreigners can't get licence points (removed in the French way)...but it may be a good idea to always carry cash for a fine and some modern gloves in the panniers.

Bit like the dayglo and helmet laws. Let the Froggies protest our way out of it

There's probably 10-12 of us already booked on ferries and our usual campsite. Ron

Re: Arromanche event 2017

Since the 70th anniversary it's been so quiet there I've not even seem a police car. Is there a law about wearing gloves..? What if you just don't wear any
