Could be good for someone. On the 9th & 10th, Chalkwell Auctions, Southend, have a 2 day auction, including quite a lot of militaria. Item 691 is described as a "World War 11 motorcycle dispatch box, in leather. Marked 1942. As it's lot 691, I reckon it'll be on day 2.
No one seems to know exactly what those leather fronted boxes are for, you often see Air Ministry marked versions too. I've always thought they were some sort of tool box?
There are some interesting lots but the pictures aren't good enough to zoom in and its too far to visit for a viewing.
