A bit of a long shot but does anyone know if its possible to identify if a V Twin Jap egine is ex wd? Thought to be about 1916 Engine number L64286? Any input would be gratefully received.
Just had a look at the Royal Enfield 6HP and 8HP ledgers. The engines weren't used "first in first out", I can tell you that. But almost all the 64000 numbers were fitted to 1919 motorcycles. Definitely not 1916.
