My fork link bushings and link spindles are worn but not unserviceable, with the front forks just loosening up a bit these days. I'm sure to arouse some negative responses to admitting to this bodge but with an hours' work, I nicely stiffened up the fork linkage with the addition of thin bronze bushing side plates installed on each link spindle, tightened just enough to remove side play but not so as to restrict the fork action. Easy to readjust as needed.
