Help with a 1976 Honda CB 550 Four rebuild in Chester
Hi all. I have a 1976 Honda CB 550 FOUR which i hope to rebuild. Do you know anyone who can pressure test the engine and advise me, look it over and suggest where to start. As you can see I am a total novice but determined to restore this bike
Any advice would be so helpful

First, replace entire engine with a BSA WM20 powerplant. Then get a WM20 frame and exchange it for the Honda frame. Add wheels, lights, tank (all from a WM20) and you're very close to a good restoration.

Hi Reg
The "WD" motorcycle forum does stand for War Department.
Discussions about postwar M21s can be helpful to wartime M20 owners, likewise talk about British Army 37 pattern webbing has a link because Despatch Riders used to wear it.
But surly you have to agree that engine rebuilds on Japanese fours is way off?
