Just a few photos from old albums, these three are very small one is 2x2inch the other two 2+1/2x3+1/2inch,they are all wartime and from the Middle East, they were from ebay so not much info with them, have got a few more mainly just post war so may show them too.The first one is an M20 it has an air filter fitted and a womans name on the tank I think?.The second one is a G3 Matchless, the third one a G3L. The detail is not too bad if you view them on a mobile phone.
From the same album Egypt 1946. This one is from the Far East post war off ebay. This one is from the Egypt album it is one of eleven taken at RAF Qadima sand track,RAF v army Bar None 1946 or 1947 meeting.
I'm particularly interested in the RAF Indian 741's, especially the one with the loan guy in shorts. I know the picture quality is not great, but any chance of a copy of the best resolution of that picture please. Ron
Hi Ron,will try and take some better ones in daylight, they are quite small but on a mobile come up ok,failing that I could send them to you to copy there are two of them with a lone rider.
Cheers Steve. Not sure I could do any better with my scanner. I've saved those pictures for now, but if you do produce a slightly better image of the one with the first guy, please share it.
I also like that he's called it Mary. My own M20 is called Mary, from years ago, before I sorted it properly and it was always 'POPPIN' on the overrun. Ron
