I don't suggest doing this on small bearings or bearings pressed into small aluminium parts, but for the first time I had to run a ring of weld round a bearing race to get it out (no space for pullers).

I had never done it before.

It really does work!

No it was two trunion bearings on a JCB telehandler. The top bearing was ok, but the one on the underside of the axle was a bit more challenging.
