That's sad news I never met him in person but chatted to him a few times on the phone. He was always happy to help with vintage Norton problems or questions. A great character in the motorcycling world.

I didn't like him particularly as a person..but you had to admire his knowledge and achievements in the Norton arena and it's never good to lose people like that from the scene..Ian

Yes he was a bit weird! (let's say eccentric) But he helped me with a sprocket some years ago and I talked to him at Goodwood 2014 about some 'Bobber's' he'd made......That almost made me want one Ron
