sorry i dont want to offend anyone with my ideas. this is what i have , no money to buy m20/16h :-(
Thanks for the heads up, Keith! I need work on my own set of girders, and I thought of this guy as he is local, but you are right......the feedback is awful. Am a bit surprised as I thought this crowd would be OK as they seem to have been around for a long time and are part of the Elk Promotikbs family, etc. In which case, I also would like to know who might be good with girders these days! I might try Star Cycles in their cave under Dover Castle who I have used in the past and they seem good with antedeluvian motorcycle bits.
To get the balance right:
Jake did a W/NG girder this year for me and he did a fantastic job !
I have send him (from Holland) the lugs from a bend and beyond straigthening girder and he made me a very good fork.
Very nice tapered tubing, welding done very good.
Not cheap but worth the money, turnaround approx. 5 months.
I concur with that Ian,not being able to afford or wait for him to repair my bent WNG forks, i took a chance and spent 375 quid on Indian made ones! and i,m still alive!
When Steve Burniston passed away, the girder fork part of Elk engineering was left to Jake Robbins (as far as my information goes).
Completely seperately to that, Julie Diplock, Steve's partner, continued running bike jumbles etc. using the name Elk promotions etc.

I left a set of empire star forks to rebuild. He finally answered the telephone after a year and said he hadn't even started on them.Ok,wait a bit longer then.He never answered the the phone again. He didn"t reply to my messages or e-mails.I live in Sweden,so couldn't just pop in willy nilly.Went to his dump of a workshop (doesn't even have a sign outside) several times over a six year period. He finally answers on facebook and said he sold them to pay for storage.Yes,they're really huge! He's a bloody thief and I hope he dies slowly and painfully.Have nothing to do with him
