Panel beater?

I've just stripped the paint of my TT Bonneville tank to reveal half a pound of body filler...

Having removed that I now have two large dents that need some attention...

The chap who used to repair petrol tanks for me retired last year so I'm looking for someone to handle this job...

Does anyone know of a good, reliable 'dent' man in the UK?...Ian

Re: Panel beater?

That will be Terry Roberts and crew at Metal Magic 01189 731631. Ron

Re: Panel beater?

Or Competition Fabrication 01953 454573 Old Buckingham in Norfolk. It’s the only place I go for that sort of work.

Re: Panel beater?

Is that the bloke who now calls himself 'Old Buck Restorations'? He did a superb job of making some stowage bins for my Universal Carrier....Copied from someone's over his way.

However there is often a big difference in the ability to do a sympathetic repair and 'New Fabrication'. I'm in no way demeaning the old buck firm, but I have excellent fabricators local to me and they really don't like working on old or damaged stuff. They much rather make me a new one Ron

Re: Panel beater?

I can definitely recommend both Metal Magic and Competition Fabrication. I have seen them perform wonders on dilapidated pieces of metal vaguely resembling motorcycle parts.
