Re: 16H First start!

Thanks guys, still stuff wrong with it, but at this point improvements in correctness will be easier. Kostas, that's the funny thing, it is re sprayed, I matched it to a swatch furnished by Lex. In the video, it looks like the mid war brown color, yet in dull light photos it's a darker green. Supposedly, that's what KGP3 does with differing light scenarios, it seems as if the bike is never the same color! See the photos.

Re: 16H First start!

Very nice.

RE colour - yes, im getting very strange colours for my attempt;
depending on what type of light - natural(day and evening)/flouresent/ or LED lighting i'm getting a very wide range - from almost a brown, to a greenish kahki with a lot of yellow in it ?
Drove me nuts for several weeks - what it really needs is a layer of mud over it all - a great 'leveller'!

It is indeed one of the odd characteristics of KGP No.3....Sometimes it's brown, sometimes green...Ian

Re: 16H First start!

Hi Sam,
The bike looks very nice did you get the paint local?

Re: 16H First start!

Steven, I bought the paint in Pennsylvania. Purchased gallons of different WWII military colors and mixed them in varying amounts until I matched a swatch of KG3. It is regular Alkyd military paint. I have the mixing recipe if anyone in North America needs it, they cant ship air mail.
