No panic, it wasn't me! but after 2 years of separation my lovely Norton B4 got "married" to the sidecar again.
After a little mishap in the snow in the Ardennes the front forks were bent, and I took the bike apart, as there were other issues also, the piston hitting the head when cold, and the colour being wrong for the year of the bike being the main things together with the bent forks, that were straightened very easily in the end, but I upgraded a lot of little details, and am very happy with the results.
Will take more pictures soon, have to get on with this, as the combo is entered in the Irish Rally in just a weeks time, anyone else here going? (John o B. is.)
All in all it was a bit more then a quick repair and respray, and some things are still not original and will be changed in the future, like there should be combined levers fitted, but I have not done the castings for those yet.
The bike looks fantastic Lex, please do find time to take some detailed pictures of the combination for those of us who are interested in all these little details that you have taken care of.
Cheers
Searched high and low for that marking! And had to pester someone for months to finally receive the info last week!
Cheers, Lex
PS, testrun went OK, had to adjust valve lifter cable, on Nortons it makes a noise too! Changing the oil now, as I put cheap supermarket oil in it, to flush things out.
