I went down to my local licence office today [expecting a hard time] with all my paper work in hand from the purchase of the 1943 Ariel W/NG. With all the info that this site was able to provide me, I was able to get a letter from a friend of mine who is the secretary of the Ottawa section of the Canadian Vintage Motorcycle Group saying that the 1943 Ariel was actually a 1940. I was in and out in 20 min with no headache! Thanks very much.
