Petrol balance pipe size/dimensions etc

Hi

I am trying to find the union size and if possible buy a petrol tank balance pipe for the pre-war BSA M21 Deluxe panel petrol tank. Can someone assist please

I'm pretty sure they are 1/4BSP nuts...The pipe is 5/16" diameter with soldered on nipples of the same type (but not the same size) as the petrol pipe..

The balance pipe is a pain in the a**e if you have to remove the tank...That's probably why military tanks don't have them but use two taps...

I always add a second petrol tap boss to the tank and blank the fittings off...Not original but practical...Ian ...
